About The Artist |
| About Linda Kincaid |
| Linda resides in the suburb of Dunwoody, Georgia,
just northeast of downtown Atlanta.
She and her husband, Bill, are the proud parents of three
champion West Highland White Terriers, Skittles, Georgia, and Arnie.
In addition to dog showing and breeding, Linda’s passion is
jewelry design and creation.
In the quest for a hobby in which Linda could express her creativity, she began exploring the world of beaded jewelry in 2000. Initially, she created jewelry for her own pleasure, however, she soon began sharing her designs with friends and family. She then ventured into wire-wrapped jewelry and polymer clay beaded creations. Linda began selling her handcrafted jewelry to enthusiastic friends. Linda’s jewelry designs were ecstatically well received by her sister, Beverly, who is as much a jewelry-hound as Linda herself. Beverly was supportive of Linda’s venture into designing and creating jewelry with a teal color theme. Beverly is an ovarian cancer survivor and teal is the color for ovarian cancer awareness. As president of the Georgia division of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC), Beverly asked Linda to collaborate with her to make Linda’s jewelry and other teal items available to ovarian cancer survivors and their families throughout the nation. Linda attends and displays her jewelry for sale at many of the Georgia division NOCC events, where her jewelry has been described as “exquisite”. Linda is pleased to donate 25% of all her awareness jewelry sales to NOCC because she knows the funds are being used towards education and research to eradicate ovarian cancer. Linda’s desire to make every piece of jewelry as exquisite as possible leads her on searches for unusual and high-quality beads, gemstones, and metals, which she hand-picks. She spends hours on her designs to ensure that the colors, textures, balance and beauty will provide pleasure to those who view and own them. Linda will soon embark on learning metal-smith techniques. She is excited about the endless possibilities. |
